!!! UNSUPPORTED LINE BREAK IN HEADER !!!
I want it. I need it.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Such plush, rich velouuur seats.
I don’t have room for it, I don’t have time for it, I don’t have money for it, it’s in a different part of the country - AND PLEASE STAHP ME BEFORE I DO SOMETHING STUPID!
But then on the other hand I definiteley need it so I can drive around listening to Anita Baker in glorious post-malaise Brougham luxury.

I was just thinking of these this morning. My grandma had an ‘89 Delta 88 Royale... basically identical to this but 4 doors and blue interior. I drove it quite a bit in my teen years. One thing that left a big impression on me was just how solid it was. It really did feel quality- almost like in the midst of ‘80s GM, someone miraculously gave a shit about these. The door handles felt solid and nice in your hand, the doors closed with a solid thud, the interior materials were nice to touch and held up well, the 3800 V6 and 4 speed trans were reliable and efficient. It had 245,000 miles when it succumbed to the Minnesota rust/careless teenage me (it became a spare car for us when G-ma got a newer Buick).

My first car was a 1989 Delta 88 Royale Brougham. Tan with Tan leather interior. It had over 200,000 on it when I got it at 15 yrs old. I beat the crap out of it and it just took it.
If you put the trans in low gear, got up to 20-30 mph, then floored the throttle and backed off quickly and repeatedly, it would porpoise like a jon boat over rough waves.
I once put the trans in reverse at 75 miles an hour. No issues.
It was a a 110 mph car. Speedo went to 85, but you could bury the needle and it would float along happily. Never found a hard limiter. Caught a Tahoe that was on the limiter (97 mph) after giving it a 3 mile head start. Passed it and then ran away from it.
I loved it. Between my dad and I we ran it out to 245,000 miles before he sold it to a junkyard. It was running and driving when he sold it.

Wow that’s awesome! I didn’t know you could get digital gauges on that car, and the outside temp and auto climate control, either export-only or otherwise rare as fuck.
